JLK/365: Volunteer Opportunities
Helps enter data collected from Catalyst Week. Ensures the database is updated so other JLK/365 volunteers have the information they need to follow-up.
Time Commitment: 4+ hours during Catalyst Week. 1 to 2 hours per month, year-round.
Immediate follow-up after Catalyst Week with individuals who expressed interest in a follow-up phone call.
Time Commitment: Varies with your availability. Typically 2 hours per week for one-two months following Catalyst Week. Opportunities are also available for year-round volunteers to encourage people by phone.
Taking time to pray over the individual needs that are written down during Catalyst Week. Prayer for the ministry of JLK throughout the year.
Time Commitment: Typically 1 hour per week and attending quarterly prayer meetings throughout the year.
“Foot Soldiers” go in teams of two following up with those requesting a personal contact. They listen, encourage, and pray with individuals. Another important part of this role is discerning where a person is at in their spiritual journey, and what ‘next-steps’ they may be ready for.
Time Commitment: Typically 2 hours per month, year-round. Requires a minimum six month commitment.
Long-Term Mentoring Volunteers
There are MANY excellent opportunities in our area where volunteers can serve in a longer-term, structured mentoring capacity. JLK/365 desires to serve as a bridge — seeking to connect both the community and volunteers into a variety of Christian Non-Profit and Church-based mentoring programs.
Time Commitment: Varies by program. Typically up to 4 hours per month, year-round. Requires a minimum one year commitment.
JLK/365 helps individuals reached during Catalyst Week continue on their spiritual journey until they are fully thriving in a faith community.
As a team of Kingdom-minded volunteers we are committed to following up with the prayer requests that were collected during the JLK Prayer & Grill Nights. Our mission is to meet people where they are at both geographically and spiritually.
We seek to convey the Father’s lavish love for individuals by treating each person we encounter with dignity, value, and respect.
JLK/365: Two-fold Purpose
To reach out to those contacted reached during JLK events, showing them Christ’s love in tangible ways; being Christ’s hands and feet to the community. (Acts 3:6-7, Matthew 25:34-40)
To encourage; building relationships and showing unity in the Body of Christ. (Hebrews 3:13)
