40 days of prayer leading up to Catalyst Week
What is Force Multiply?
Force Multiply is a strategic prayer initiative leading up and through Catalyst Week; it rallies and unifies God’s servants in Kalamazoo to intercede for the work of His Kingdom. This year Force Multiply goes from May 30 – July 9th, 2023 but you are welcome to join the prayer at any time.
We are also encouraging participants to seriously consider fasting in some fashion during this time, as the Lord leads you.
What does “Force Multiply” mean?
Force Multiply is a military term which defines a factor that dramatically increases the power of a group. There is strength in our numbers: “Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.” (Leviticus 26:8)
Who is the battle against? “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power… For our struggle is not against flesh and blood…” (Ephesians 6:10,12)
What is the Prayer Focus for this year?
We will be focusing our prayer around the phrase:
“Together – we will encourage one another to stay awake and keep our eyes open to the winds of change”
Our central Scripture passage is:
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” ~ Luke 4:18-19 (NIV)
